COACHING

NC23 only works with UEFA-licensed coaches who have extensive experience in professional football.

We have had a fantastic first season as a 'feeder' club of UAE youth talent. Through two successful trips to Europe, numerous trials at professional academies, and a rigorous training program at home, NC23 has established itself as a quality platform for youth football.

We only partner with coaches who are UEFA-licensed, and who themselves have extensive professional football experience.

Matt Carr at M.A.C. Pro Coaching has been with us since day one, and we look forward to continuing to work with him as our technical coach in the coming season. During Friday team training sessions, Matt will coach small groups of forwards and defenders in bespoke drills and positional play to further develop our players' technical skills and understanding of the game.

The club has expanded its collaborations with coaches that are like-minded and passionate about the game. It is with great pleasure that we announce our new partnership with The Player in Dubai, an organisation comprising former professional football players with extensive Premier League experience. The Player was founded by Sam White and Steven Taylor.

Technical Direction

Sam spent 12 years with Southampton Football Club, before accepting a role with AFC Bournemouth in their academy.

Following his time in England, Sam has worked with football academies in the USA, Africa and Asia. During his time in the UAE, Sam has coached and managed club football alongside Steven Taylor. As a performance coach, Sam has also worked with 100+ top professional footballers.

During the course of his incredible career, Steven played over 200 times for Newcastle United, as well as at six other clubs across four continents, totalling over 350 professional games.

Following his playing career, Steven has focused on coaching and management in the United Arab Emirates.

Matt is an ex professional football player hailing from UK with extensive experience. Whilst playing at Oldham Athletic from 2008, Matt found his passion for coaching in 2014 and became a UEFA B licensed coach.

As well as taking the outfield players Matt also decided that he wanted to further his development and studied courses to enhance his knowledge into goalkeeper coaching. He ran a successful Futsal Academy in Bolton, United Kingdom and has been in Dubai for over 4 years.

One of the greatest and most recognisable players of his generation, Davids often stood out on the football field due to his dreadlocked hair , a very creative and skilful midfielder, Davids was nicknamed "The Pitbull" by Louis van Gaal because of his marking ability, aggression, and hard tackling style of play.

A French former professional footballer who played as a right midfielder. Starting off his career with Le Havre in France in the early 1990s, he went on to represent clubs in Italy, England, Turkey, and Sweden before retiring at A.C. Milan in 2008. A full international between 1997 and 1998, he won eight caps for the France national team and scored two goals.
